Sports Trauma Mangement International - Dubai
This week we are hugely excited to be running our first ever International Sports Trauma Management course. We will be holding our first course in Dubai at the NAS Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Centre on the 25 & 26 October.
It's a huge step for us as we look to try and push our Sports Trauma courses further afield. We're hoping to run more International courses over the coming years and all going well, we'll be trying to get more frequent working relations in Dubai and the surrounding UAE area with a possible FASE course scheduled for December.
Our long-term aim is to promote effective trauma management in sport on an International scale, with a view to being able to offer the Sports Trauma qualification across a number of countries around the world. The ultimate goal is an internationally recognised qualification although this is a few years off just yet!
We'd like to thank Mr Shaju Kareem at the NAS Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Centre for giving us the opportunity to run the course in Dubai and very much look forward to meeting all of the attendees.
ACPSEM "All About the Knee" Autumn Study Day
This weekend Lubas Medical will be attending the ACPSEM “All about the knee” study day. We will have a stand as an exhibitor at the event promoting our ‘Sports Trauma Management’ course.
Our Managing Director, Paul Lubas, was approached by members of the ACPSEM in 1998 to provide a course in Sports Trauma Management for physiotherapists working in sport. Since then the course has grown into a nationally recognised course for sports professionals and student physios alike. We have found the ACPSEM to be both helpful and supportive of us as members and we’re excited to be involved in this year’s study day.
As the title suggests the topic of the study day surrounds the knee. The timetable includes discussions, presentations and demonstrations on various topics relating to the prevention and detection of knee injuries in sport.
It serves as a great opportunity for us to speak with former attendees and potential future attendees interested in the Sports Trauma Management course. We will be providing handouts and information on the courses we offer. There will also be an opportunity for you to see and physically use some of the equipment we train with (along with one or two other surprises).
So if you are attending the event, please come over and visit us. We’d love to see some of the old familiar faces of previous attendees along with meeting new acquaintances.

We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday!
