  • Resuscitation – Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR training) and automated external defibrillation (AED training)
  • Airway management – Anaphylaxis, chest injury, ventilation using airway and breathing adjuncts, bag valve mask ventilation, oxygen therapy, portable suction devices
  • Head injury management – Concussion, head trauma, and unconsciousness.
  • Fracture management – Injury assessment and splinting devices.
  • Spinal injury management – Spinal injury assessment, cervical immobilisation, collar application, spinal boards, strapping.
  • Injury assessment – Structured assessment, soft tissue injuries and patient clinical records.

Lubas Sports Trauma Management places a strong emphasis on your participation. You will practice all the skills listed above giving you a firm grasp on the core medical skills needed for effective sports trauma management.

What qualification will I get?

Following completion of the sports trauma management course you will receive a Lubas Sports Trauma Management certificate (valid for 3 years) and a Certificate in CPR and Automated External Defibrillation (annual refresher course highly recommended).

This course fulfils the requirement of the ACPSEM (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine) CPD pathway to silver & gold levels, and the OSCA (Osteopathic Sports Care Association) Advanced Performance Pathway for levels 1,2 & 3.
